How to Reset Your Rwanda Polytechnic (RP) Application Portal Password – 2026/2027

Some applicants applying to Rwanda Polytechnic (RP) for the 2026/2027 academic year may have difficulties logging into the application portal because they have forgotten their password or are not receiving the password-reset email.

If you are facing this problem, do not worry. You can request a new password through the official RP application portal.

How to Reset Your RP Application Portal Password

Follow these steps:

1. Open the official RP password-reset page

Go to the Rwanda Polytechnic MIS password-reset page:

https://mis.rp.ac.rw/password/reset

The page provides an option called “Forgot your password?”.

2. Enter the email address you used during registration

Enter the same email address you used when creating your RP application account.

Make sure the email address is written correctly before submitting the request.

3. Click “Send Reset Link”

After entering your email, click “Send Reset Link.”

RP will send a password-reset link to your email address if the email is associated with your account.

⚠️ Important: Check Your Spam or Junk Folder

This is very important.

Many applicants may request a password reset but fail to find the email because it does not appear in the main inbox.

After requesting the reset link, check:

• 📥 Inbox
• 🗑️ Spam
• 📁 Junk Email
• 📨 Promotions or Updates folders, depending on your email service

Do not only check your Inbox. Check the Spam/Junk folder carefully.

If you find the RP password-reset email in Spam, open it and look for the password-reset link.

What If You Do Not Receive the Email?

If you cannot find the email:

1. Confirm that you entered the correct email address.
2. Check your Spam/Junk folder again.
3. Wait a little and check your email again.
4. Make sure your email inbox is not full.
5. Avoid repeatedly requesting reset links within a very short period.
6. If you still cannot access your account, contact Rwanda Polytechnic for assistance.

After Resetting Your Password

Once you receive the reset email, follow the link and create a new password.

Then return to the RP MIS login page and sign in using your email address and new password.

Important for 2026/2027 Applicants

The official RP application portal currently shows that applications for the 2026/2027 academic year opened on 23 September 2026 and close on 3 October 2026. Applicants should therefore avoid waiting until the last day if they are experiencing login or password problems.
